WrestleMania continues to be a popular form of entertainment, as evidenced by the recent sellout crowd of 75,000 in New Orleans. But, did you know that Christians engage in daily wrestling matches that are certainly no form of entertainment? In this sermon, the biblical story of Jacob wrestling with God is discussed, along with specific applications for Christians today.

With attention in south Louisiana focused on Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, and soon-to-be Easter, there's a lot of discussion on "What are you going to give up for Lent?" In this sermon, this question is addressed based on Proverbs 6 and Romans 5 and 6. Join Dennis in a study of the New Testament character Barnabas as an example of how Christians should be a positive influence. As Christians, we are to hope for the return of Christ. However, we need to have patience as well. Join Eric as he discusses some big themes from the book of 1 Thessalonians that addresses how we can balance hope and patience. The Bible talks very specifically about "giving birth to sin" (James 1); however, as God's people, we desire to give birth to grace in our lives. Join Eric as he discusses what living by grace looks like in the life of a Christian. As our nation celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., it is also important to be reminded of how important unity is in the church. Join Eric as he considers God's plan for unity, based upon Galatians 3.
