Bible School Mission Statement
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life…we proclaim also to you…”
1 John 1:1-3 (ESV)

Vision
To double our Bible School attendance in five years through campaigns such as "Be In Our Number"; our annual Vacation Bible School; and Friday Films. The most effective tool, however, remains word of mouth.
Open House
On September 14, 2014, following our regularly scheduled evening worship service at 6 pm, we will host an Open House for children and their parents. During the Open House, we will introduce you to our curriculum and our four themes for the year. Your child's teacher will welcome you into the classroom. Feel free to ask questions and view the display of crafts recently completed during the class periods.
Curriculum
We offer Bible classes for all ages from cradle roll (infants) through adults. The curriculum for our pre-school and primary school grades is produced by Apologetics Press, located in Montgomery, Alabama. This curriculum is "first-class" filled with Scripture and age appropriate crafts, color sheets, and artwork. For more information regarding our primary school curriculum, contact us at 504.737.4335 and ask for Scott Keiser.
The curriculum for our secondary school grades is under the direction of our Youth Minister, Malvin Sanders. Bible stories and Bible themes are studied directly from the Scriptures. Age appropriate life application is made following each lesson. For more information regarding our secondary school curriculum, contact Malvin by calling 504.737.4335.

Our Bible School is also supported by participation in Lads to Leaders. Lads to Leaders is one of Hickory Knoll's tools used to help prepare our youth and adults for service in the Kingdom of God and foster their overall leadership potential. The purpose of Lads to Leaders is to instill the Word of God into our youth and adults so that they will stand firm in the faith.
Schedule
Our cradle roll, primary, and secondary classes follow the quarter system beginning on the first Sunday of each September. The quarters are as follows:
- Fall: September - November
- Winter: December - February
- Spring: March - May
- Summer: June - August
Cost
Hickory Knoll's Bible school is provided free of charge to children and adults alike. It is financially supported by the free will offerings and contributions of its members. The Bible school is one of the many programs through which we strive to further the Great Commission. We endeavor to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent. We will answer every Bible question with a Bible answer.
