Memorial Day is a special time in which we reflect upon the thousands of men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom as Americans. In Joshua 4, the people of God were preparing a similar, yet different, type of memorial. Join Eric as he discusses the hand of the Lord in this process. Special consideration is also given to the recent devastation in Moore, Oklahoma. There are people all over the world who continue to reject Jesus. However, for those who are men and women of faith, we realize that Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith. Join Eric as he considers the implications and blessings associated with having a faith built on the solid foundation of Jesus. Imagine our essence as something that fills up a glass up. Listen as Chad Brown teaches us how we must pour out ourselves before God can fill us with Himself. If we empty ourselves out of the glass, we will in turn be filling up with God. For some people, Mother's Day is an exciting time to be thankful. For others, however, the day can be rather painful. Join Eric as he discusses the wide spectrum of mothering from a biblical perspective. Praise is almost always directed toward God but this sermon shows how the process is sometimes reversed when God praises His children.
The toll on the Crescent City Connection has now been removed! However, there are still a lot of people who are paying a toll for their sin. Based on I Kings 13, join Eric as he discusses a man of God who had to pay a toll for his sin. Dennis' sermon reviews some of the ideas included in the book "Muscle and a Shovel" written by Michael Shank. Join Dennis as he teaches some of God's truths that came to life in a young newly-wed couple chasing the American dream. In the process, a man befriends them who turns their belief about God, their church, and their faith upside down!
