Esther was called upon to save the Jewish people, even though her life may have been in danger. But her cousin, Mordecai reminded her that perhaps God put her in this position "for such a time as this". The Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes of Hickory Knoll have been learning how to lead and grow in the Lord's church. Were you put in someone's life "for such a time as this?"
This sermon is designed to help each member of the congregation be aware that
they have a valuable part in church growth. Beyond the obvious truths, (A solid
foundation is built on God's Word. A Christian should be active in God's will
and attend church faithfully...etc.) church growth stems from realizing the
church is suppose to grow, understanding everyone is expected to participate,
and knowing Jesus' mission of the church. Therefore, each person should love the
Lord, love His church, and love souls.
We all want the church to grow. Sometimes we begin to believe that the way to do it is to listen to some "outside" guru and adapt the latest crazes. Romans 12 Paul shows us the secrets to growing a church in love.
Dennis' sermon reviews some of the ideas included in the book "Muscle and a Shovel" written by Michael Shank. Join Dennis as he teaches some of God's truths that came to life in a young newly-wed couple chasing the American dream. In the process, a man befriends them who turns their belief about God, their church, and their faith upside down!
Join David ad he discusses principles of church growth based out of Ephesians 4.
The church finds itself increasingly in competition to steal disgruntled or dissatisfied members away from her congregations. Have you been "church shopping" or "church hopping"? Watch as Chuck Monan explains why the church and Christians are facing an identity crisis and how to FIX it.
Do you remember who your first love (or first crush) was? As Christians, our first love is Christ. Have you lost your love for Christ? Watch as Chuck teaches us how to revive our spiritual lives.
