By doing this, the Israelites knew how many troops they had. Each person was given a job, and each person was expected to make a contribution. Today, we also have a job to do, and we are expected to make a contribution to Christ's church and the kingdom. Listen as Eric Dishongh teaches these principles from the Book of Numbers. In Old Testament times, God gave the Israelites a list of laws to keep them undefiled in their pursuit of holiness. In our lives we can pursue holiness through our religion and our relationships because God has sent an undefiled Redeemer. Eric Dishongh's message is based on the Book of Leviticus. Our God is a God who does great things. Sometimes these great things will make perfect sense to us. But, other times He will do great things that make absolutely no sense to us whatsoever.
